A Stunning phenomenon called “witch’s hair” be seen blowing from the eruption in “Dyngjusandi”. This was also seen at the “Laki” eruption in 1783.
This phenomenon has been seen bowing across the sands around the crater, but with no understanding of what this is this. This seemed to be a sort hair bundles and resembled mainly wool. We first thought it was something kind of vegetation, grass or such, but it could barely fit that there is hardly none straws to see. And this could not be wool from sheep that there are no sheep.
It so happens that the 230 year old story of such a phenomenon has been preserved from the “Laki” eruption, it is the oldest known in the world, and were remember when scientists saw it tumbling around on “Dyngjusandi”.
This is neither vegetable witches animal. This is a mineral and is the product of the eruption, called “witch’s hair” in Icelandic “Nornahár” but it is connected to the fire God Pele of Volcanology and called high Peles, and is the circumstances of the eruptions.
“It’s like hair-locks if you hold it and feel it with your hands, but this is rock. This is glass that has already solidified magma was coming out volcano crater. The reality is gas flow in massive quantities so much that it stretches the magma in to micro narrow hair. Then they fall to the ground and start blowing on the surface and enter this bundles that moves around at different speeds on the sand, in the wind, “said Þorvaldur Þórðarson, volcanologist.
